Staying ahead of the curve

A warm and muggy day with some spots of rain and total cloud cover at lunchtime.

Needing 3.3 spp/day yesterday I have managed 4 today, which keeps me ahead of the curve. There will be another hoverfly hopefully, once I figure out what it is. If I can stay in the area of on target while I await a new battery charger for the moth trap, some trapping will, I'm sure, ensure success. Today's species so far:

Nicrophorus vespilloides A Carrion Beetle 12/06/2014
Bombus hortorum Small Garden Bumble Bee 12/06/2014
Episyrphus balteatus Marmalade Hoverfly 12/06/2014
Leucozona lucorum A hoverfly 12/06/2014
