Happy New Year!

In lieu of the intended family wander for the day I ended up bashing three 10m squares at Cullaloe in the rain. A nice start to the year though. Nothing new I expect although I do have a couple of toadstools (Collybia type, Galerina type) which may prove to be. Amazing how much faster than it would have been last year with many mystery leaves by now well known. I wonder how that will affect recording throughout the year, with ID wrestling much reduced. No worries though - I'll find new things to wrestle with. On the agenda fpr the battle are spiders, leaf beetles and ground beetles, and an intention to record over 100 fungi this year, which means about 20-25 more than last.
