Common Sexton Beetle, Nicrophorus vespilloides
I've seen a couple of these at Cullaloe - although this one is having a much worse day than the previous one! In serous bother here and apparently also crawling with gamasid mites (OK, so I got that from the site linked below!). It is possible that this is actually a Banded Sexton Beetle, which seems to be quite similar. I'll check it later.
