Plenty Plantae

After a tutorial on orchids yesterday I returned this morning to capture this lovely hybrid between Common Spotted and Northern Marsh Orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii and Dactylorhiza purpurella respectively, apparently Dactylorhiza x venusta). Added to the year list were Tufted Vetch, whose name escaped me yesterday, and Needle Spike-rush. The sun was hesitating about coming out, so no butterflies but lots of Chimneysweep moths.

Top photos D. x. venusta and D.fuschii
